Frequently asked Questions

About Fillers

Are filler treatments painful?

During filler treatments we first use a numbing cream to numb the surface so it is more comfortable when using the fine needle. Our filler materials also contain anaesthetic (numbing agents) to make your treatment more comfortable. During treatment you may feel some discomfort.

After treatment people usually experience a tightening feeling for 24-48 hours with some swelling. After this period it is unlikely for patients to feel discomfort.

How long do fillers last?

Fillers last for upto 9-18 months. The duration of fillers can be shorter or longer in some individuals as it depends on how quickly your body breaks down the naturally occurring materials and where the fillers are placed. After this time you may require additional fillers to maintain your results.

What are the risks of having fillers?

What do the anti-wrinkle treatments involve?

When having anti-wrinkle treatments use a very fine needle to inject the medicine just below the surface of the skin. This medicine then works to relax some of your muscles and this reduces and softens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Treatments last on average 3-4 months.

No, your skin will return to its natural state (the fine lines and wrinkles will come back), whilst the effects of the treatment are working it prevents the creation of new lines and wrinkles.
